Ancelotti's Fate with Real Madrid in Jeopardy
المدرب الإيطالي "كارلو أنشيلوتي" لريال مدريد يحدد مصير 3 لاعبين

Reports indicate that the fate of Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti with Spanish club Real Madrid will be decided in the near future, as a meeting is expected to take place between him, club president Florentino Pérez, and executive director José Ángel Sánchez.

These developments come in the wake of Real Madrid's exit from the UEFA Champions League and their defeat to Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final, casting doubts on Ancelotti's future amidst strong expectations that his contract, set to expire in June 2026, will not be extended, according to the Spanish newspaper "Marca."

Ancelotti confirmed in statements earlier this week that a decision regarding his future will be made in the coming weeks. "Marca" reported that the results could be announced "within a few hours," noting that Xabi Alonso, the manager of Bayer Leverkusen, is being considered as the most likely candidate to succeed him.

The Spanish newspaper "AS" also reported that the upcoming match against Barcelona on May 11 could be crucial for Ancelotti, especially with Barcelona, under German coach Hansi Flick, leading the La Liga table by four points.

Meanwhile, rumors have intensified regarding Ancelotti's potential move to coach the Brazilian national team, as "Sky Sports" and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that the Italian coach could be appointed to this position ahead of the international fixtures scheduled for June.

It is worth noting that Ancelotti has been the manager of Real Madrid since the summer of 2021, adding two UEFA Champions League titles to his record during his stints with the club, first between 2013 and 2015 and now in his current term.
