The Bahrain Association of Family Physicians, in collaboration with BDA for Conferences and Exhibitions for Organizing Health and Medical Conferences and Exhibitions, has entered into a strategic partnership with the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) to co-organize the upcoming edition of the Association’s International Conference, scheduled to be held from 29 to 31 May 2025.
This announcement follows a recent meeting between His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Ansari, Chief Executive Officer of NHRA, and members of the Association’s Board of Directors, including Professor Dr. Faisal Al Naser, Dr. Amal Dawood, and Dr. Ali Albaqarra.
The partnership reflects the Association’s continued dedication to advancing medical knowledge and supporting specialized scientific gatherings that foster the exchange of expertise among family physicians on regional and international platforms. It is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the Kingdom of Bahrain’s healthcare sector through professional collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
His Excellency Dr. Al Ansari reaffirmed NHRA’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at the development of healthcare professions and services and noted that the Bahrain Association of Family Physicians’ international conference underscores Bahrain’s growing reputation as a regional leader in delivering high-quality medical services. The Authority views this partnership as a key step in reinforcing Bahrain’s status as a regional centre for healthcare innovation and excellence.
Professor Dr. Faisal Al Naser, Chairman of the Association, expressed pride in this strategic collaboration with NHRA, and emphasized that the partnership enhances the Association’s mission to promote family medicine and strengthen the quality and impact of medical events in the Kingdom. The conference will offer a series of specialized scientific programs and interactive sessions designed to elevate medical standards and professional practice.
Dr. Ali Albaqarra., Secretary-General of the Association, stated that the conference presents a valuable opportunity to bring together physicians and experts in family medicine to engage in meaningful dialogue and problem-solving. Moreover, the event will address critical challenges facing the discipline and foster the development of innovative strategies to improve the effectiveness and reach of comprehensive healthcare delivery.
The three-day conference is expected to attract wide participation from healthcare professionals, academics, and stakeholders in family medicine from Bahrain and beyond. The program will include in-depth scientific workshops, thematic panel discussions, and keynote lectures focusing on the latest developments in family medicine, primary healthcare, community medicine, and public health.
