Sudanese Army Announces Full Control of Taybe Camp and Khartoum Airport

The Sudanese army has announced the restoration of its control over Taybe Camp, which is considered the last base of the Rapid Support Forces in the capital, Khartoum. These developments come after the operation commander in Khartoum, Major General Abdel Rahman al-Bilaawi, acknowledged that his forces have managed to take control of Khartoum International Airport.
Earlier, the operations commander reported that the army is making significant progress in eastern Khartoum, as his forces successfully crossed the Manshiya Bridge and conducted sweeps of the entire eastern area of the bridge.
The army indicated that it inflicted heavy losses on the Rapid Support Forces in terms of equipment and personnel in the Bakker area. It also announced advances of its armored forces within Khartoum, confirming control over the air defense headquarters in the city.
The armored corps reported that it also seized the buildings of the Faculty of Engineering at Sudan University, the entire Al-Nazha neighborhood, and Al-Sahafa Street, in addition to the Khartoum inland port.
Additionally, a correspondent for Al Arabiya and Al-Hadath channels stated that the Sudanese army was able to assert control over all the capital's bridges, noting the closure of the Khartoum - Jebel Awliya road and confirming control over Taybe Camp south of Khartoum.
In this context, Lieutenant General Yasser Al-Ata, the assistant to the army commander, conducted an inspection tour of army forces in the Presidential Palace after regaining control over it for the first time since April 15, 2023.
