Syrian Al-Qusayr.. Targeting of Hezbollah Strongholds Intensifies Over a Week

Successive raids on the industrial zone in Al-Qusayr reveal Israeli attempts to undermine resistance infrastructure on the borders
Israeli aircraft began targeting the town of Al-Qusayr in Syria's Homs governorate, according to Syrian state media.
Syrian regime television revealed that an industrial area and neighboring residences in Al-Qusayr, adjacent to the Lebanese border, were subjected to Israeli airstrikes, representing the second raid on the town in less than seven days.
The triple Israeli bombing of Al-Qusayr at the end of last October resulted in the death of "7 civilians and 3 Syrian militants working for Hezbollah," according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
It's worth noting that Al-Qusayr is considered a strategic location in Syrian geography due to its proximity to the Lebanese border and its mountainous nature, making it an important logistical pivot point.
The town has been subjected to a series of Israeli raids during the past years, most of which targeted military facilities and sites suspected of being linked to Lebanese Hezbollah and Iranian-backed factions.
Israel has intensified its raids on Syrian territory since the start of the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, targeting locations around Damascus, Aleppo, and Homs, resulting in dozens of civilian and military casualties.
Israel adopts a policy of not commenting on operations it carries out in Syria, but repeatedly affirms that it will not allow Iranian military positioning on its northern borders.
