Deir Ezzor: ISIS Cells Target Syrian Democratic Forces
دير الزور

Cells affiliated with the Islamic State carried out simultaneous attacks on two military points of the Syrian Democratic Forces in the town of Granij in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, using RPG shells and automatic weapons in their assaults.

These attacks resulted in armed clashes between the two sides, coinciding with a heightened state of security alert in the area, with no confirmed information about casualties reported so far. For their part, the attacking organization’s members fled to an unknown location after carrying out the attack.

These assaults come at a time when the organization’s cells are increasing their activity in various areas of Deir Ezzor.
