Diego Garcia Base... Iran Threatens Harsh Response to Any Potential US Attack
-
The deployment of "B-2" nuclear bombers to the base reflects US preparedness for any potential military scenario, amid escalating tensions over Iran's nuclear program

Iran has threatened to target the British-American joint Diego Garcia base, located in the Indian Ocean, in the event of any military attack from the United States.
This threat comes after Washington deployed stealth "B-2" bombers capable of carrying nuclear warheads at the base, which has sparked speculation about their potential use against Iran.
Satellite images analyzed by the Associated Press showed that the US military has deployed at least four bombers at the base, which is beyond the range of Iranian missiles. This has prompted Tehran to assert that it possesses weapons capable of reaching the base, including "Khorramshahr" missiles and "Shahed 136-B" suicide drones with a range of up to 4,000 kilometers.
A senior Iranian military official told the British newspaper "Telegraph" that his country would respond to any American attack by targeting the base, emphasizing that "there will be no distinction between American or British forces" if Iran is targeted.
The official added: "When the time comes, it won't matter if you're an American, British, or Turkish soldier; you will be targeted if the Americans use your base for an attack."
This escalation comes amid threats from former US President Donald Trump to take "bad actions" against Tehran if it does not agree to a new nuclear deal.
These developments also coincide with continuing US airstrikes against the Houthis in Yemen, who are considered allies of Tehran, indicating rising tension between the two sides in the region.
