Fierce Clashes Between 'Tel Tamr Council' Forces and Turkey-affiliated Armed Factions
Violent clashes erupted early today between the forces of the "Tel Tamr Military Council," affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), on one side, and Turkey-affiliated armed factions on the other, along the front line extending between the "Peace Spring" area and the "Autonomous Administration" areas in the countryside of Abu Rasin and Tel Tamr.
The confrontations witnessed intensive use of heavy weaponry, with the "Tel Tamr Council" forces targeting Turkish army bases and armed factions in the region, resulting in injuries to four members of the factions, who were immediately transported to hospitals in Ras al-Ain for treatment.
In a related context, armed individuals expressed their desire to return to their areas within Syria. Syrian Observatory for Human Rights sources revealed that faction leaders are arresting any individual or group that refuses to continue fighting and demands to return home.
Additionally, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported in a statement dated December 26 that the Turkey-affiliated "Sultan Murad" faction arrested around 20 members of the "Al-Hasakah Shield Brigade," which is part of the "National Army," while they were attempting to cross the earthen barrier separating the areas controlled by the "National Army" from those controlled by the SDF near the Alia silos in the countryside of Ras al-Ain, north of Hasakah.
According to observers, the individuals were trying to cross from areas under "National Army" control toward those held by the SDF to surrender and return to their regions, but they were arrested and taken to an unknown location, with their fate remaining unclear.
