Sudden Closure of the Court in Jaramana, Damascus

The court in the city of Jaramana was unexpectedly closed today without any prior announcement regarding the reasons, leading to a disruption of activities for lawyers and citizens who were awaiting the completion of their legal transactions.
This closure occurred despite the significant efforts made by community leaders and security agencies to enhance safety and stability following the violent events that took place in the city last Saturday night. Although all government institutions in the city continued to operate as of yesterday, this action has raised many questions about its motivations and circumstances.
It is noteworthy that there have been no reports of lost documents in all departments and institutions in the city since the recent liberation operation. In a related context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported ongoing negotiations between Jaramana community leaders and representatives from the Ministry of Interior aimed at ending the state of chaos and tension, with security forces being preliminarily deployed to the Jaramana police station.
Representatives from the Ministry of Interior have called for several measures, including the dissolution of the "Jaramana Shield" faction, the removal of checkpoints, the activation of local governance, and the establishment of a public security center, in addition to disarming citizens and arresting several suspects in connection with the killing of a member of the Ministry of Defense.
Following the intervention by local leaders, calm has returned to the city of Jaramana, helping to avoid escalation and mitigate previous tensions. While armed checkpoints manned by local residents continue to be present within the city, internal security checkpoints are concentrated at the outskirts, signaling a return to normalcy and indicating the possibility of renewed stability in the region.
