To Strengthen Cooperation and Investment... Al Habtoor Group Founder Intends to Make an Official Visit to Syria

Khalaf bin Ahmed Al Habtoor, founder and Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, announced his intention to conduct an official visit to the Syrian Arab Republic in the coming days, accompanied by a high-level delegation from Al Habtoor Group that includes senior executives.
This visit comes within the framework of the group's efforts to explore opportunities for cooperation with the Syrian government, and to study investment potentials across various sectors. The move is driven by their strong belief in Syria’s potential to recover and contribute to its economy, as well as the importance of partnership during the country's ongoing reconstruction phase.
On this occasion, Khalaf Al Habtoor said: “Syria is a country rich in culture, history, and capable people. We believe in its future potential, and we aspire to be part of its renaissance through high-quality projects that create jobs and boost economic growth.”
He added: “We view Syria with great confidence, and believe that its people possess the energies and capabilities to make its future strong and prosperous. As an Arab group with deep roots, we see it as our moral and economic duty to be present as partners in building a stable and developed future.”
As part of the preparations for the visit, a delegation of managers and officials from Al Habtoor Group is visiting Damascus before Al Habtoor himself arrives, to conduct preliminary exploratory studies and hold meetings with various relevant parties ahead of the upcoming official meetings.
Al Habtoor Group is considered one of the leading investment groups in the region, with a strong presence in several markets inside and outside the UAE. It is distinguished by its institutional approach to projects and is keen to ensure that its investments deliver genuine economic and social value in every country in which it operates.

More than 100 high school students from across the Kingdom of Bahrain took part in the hackathon, which featured an intensive programme of training workshops and hands-on sessions.
