Escalating Tensions: Israeli Strikes Reported Near Damascus

The Syrian News Agency "SANA" reported today, Monday, around midday, that loud explosions were heard in the vicinity of the capital, Damascus, noting that the nature of these explosions is currently being verified.
Yesterday, explosions were also reported in the Damascus countryside in the Saboura and Yafour areas, which are believed to be Israeli strikes targeting Hezbollah and Iranian positions within Syria. The extent of the damage has not been disclosed.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that Israeli aircraft targeted a building near the Yabous crossing in the Damascus countryside, along the Syrian-Lebanese border, shortly after midnight on Sunday.
According to the Observatory’s statement, a loud explosion was heard, and the strike resulted in "the injury of 7 individuals, including 5 non-Syrians."
The Observatory confirmed that the Yabous crossing is one of the main crossings between the two countries, through which tens of thousands of displaced persons, both Lebanese and Syrians, have entered since the onset of the Israeli escalation against Lebanon. This targeting is part of Israel's ongoing violent escalation along the Syrian-Lebanese border, aimed at cutting off supply routes to Lebanese Hezbollah.
