eli Airstrikes on Damascus
Israeli forces launched airstrikes on the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Thursday, according to a report from a correspondent for "Sky News Arabia."
Our correspondent confirmed that Israeli warplanes flew over Damascus at a low altitude, causing concern among residents. "Syrian Television" mentioned that the strikes targeted areas surrounding Damascus, while warplanes continued to fly over the capital.
Residents in the western neighborhoods of Damascus reported hearing two loud explosions, believed to have occurred at the Mezzeh Military Airport. Others confirmed hearing the sounds of warplanes flying over the southwestern countryside of Damascus.
It is worth noting that Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes targeting military sites and research facilities belonging to the Syrian army in various Syrian provinces. Since the fall of the Assad regime and the arrival of armed factions in Damascus, these strikes have resulted in the destruction of most of the Syrian army's capabilities.
