Hezbollah Condemns U.S. Strikes on Yemen

The Lebanese group Hezbollah condemned the extensive military strikes launched by the United States on Yemen in an official statement on Sunday, expressing its full solidarity with the Yemeni people.
The group described these strikes in its statement as "a barbaric aggression that constitutes a war crime and a flagrant violation of international laws and norms," according to Reuters.
The strikes, which targeted the Iran-backed Houthi group, resulted in the death of at least 31 people, according to the health ministry overseen by the Houthis.
In a related context, Iran also condemned these strikes, labeling them as "barbaric." Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei pointed out that these strikes represent "a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and the fundamental rules of international law."
Additionally, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hossein Salami, warned in a statement on Sunday that Tehran would respond forcefully if threatened, affirming that the Houthis make their operational decisions independently.
For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the United States does not have the right to dictate Iran's foreign policy, following a message from U.S. President Donald Trump requesting Tehran to "immediately" stop supporting the Houthis in Yemen. Araghchi wrote on the X platform: "The U.S. government has no authority or right to determine Iran's foreign policy," calling for an end to the killing of the Yemeni people.
These movements and statements indicate rising regional tensions and the impact of the situation in Yemen on relations between Iran and the United States, as well as concerns about the escalation of violence in the region.
