The Republican Party is moving toward regaining influence in the House of Representatives for the 119th Congress and tightening its grip on Washington, days after securing the presidency and control of the Senate.

Indicators of Republican control of the House are increasing after securing the fourth seat from Democrats in Colorado, where freshman Democratic Representative Yadira Caraveo conceded defeat to Republican challenger Gabby Evans on Sunday evening.

Current House power balance shows 214 seats for Republicans versus 203 for Democrats, with 19 races still undecided by the Associated Press. Republicans need only four seats to gain majority, while Democrats would need to win 15 seats.

The Republican triple alliance in Washington will ensure the implementation of President-elect Donald Trump's largely conservative program, according to the Washington Post.

The Republican Congress will pledge to pass necessary legislation to secure the southern borders and renew Trump's 2017 tax law, large portions of which are set to expire at the end of 2025.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, Republican from Louisiana, expected to be re-elected in leadership voting this week, emerges as Trump's ally to ensure Republican harmony with controversial policies.

Trump is expected to have a more cooperative Senate compared to his first term, especially with many pledging allegiance to the MAGA movement, and three Republican senators competing for his support by promising to cooperate with his directions.
