Egyptian star Mohamed Salah scored a goal near the end to rescue his team Liverpool from defeat, securing a 2-2 draw against hosts Arsenal in a thrilling match on Sunday, during the ninth round of the Premier League.

Arsenal's Bukayo Saka opened the scoring in the ninth minute with a powerful shot before Virgil van Dijk equalized just nine minutes later.

Mikel Merino then scored his first goal for Arsenal to put his team ahead again just before the end of the first half with a strong header following a free kick taken by Declan Rice. The referee awarded the goal after consulting the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

Liverpool improved their performance in the second half, and Salah scored from close range in the 81st minute to level the score, bringing his team’s points tally to 22 from nine matches, placing them second, just one point behind Manchester City, while Arsenal moved up to third place with 18 points.
