Quneitra.. Regime Remains Silent Over New Israeli Incursion
The silence of Syrian regime forces stationed near the kidnapping site highlights their inability to protect civilians

An Israeli military force supported by armored vehicles detained a Syrian citizen this morning while he was herding sheep near the ceasefire line in the vicinity of Al-Rafid town in rural Quneitra. The force invaded Syrian territory and kidnapped citizen "Hilal Al-Faneesh" to an unknown location, according to local activists.

Syrian regime forces stationed meters away from the incident site ignored the Israeli aggression, maintaining silence towards this flagrant violation of Syrian sovereignty.

Border areas with the Golan have witnessed an escalation in Israeli forces' violations since the beginning of this year, with repeated arrests of Syrian civilians, as well as incursions and shooting incidents.

This aggression comes months after a similar incident, when an Israeli force consisting of three cars and an armored vehicle stormed Al-Razatiya village in southern Quneitra countryside on July 19, arresting a milk truck driver who was heading to Damascus, taking him into the occupied Golan without explaining the reasons.
