Recent Israeli Airstrikes in Syria: Defense Systems Engage Over Homs
The Syrian government's state television reported today, Thursday, that air defenses intercepted hostile targets over Homs, without providing further details.
Earlier, the Assad government announced that Israeli strikes targeted bridges over the Orontes River and roads along the Syrian-Lebanese border in the Qusayr area west of Homs.
Pro-regime sources indicated that 11 individuals were injured in the Israeli bombardment that hit various sites in the Qusayr region.
Furthermore, 15 members of the "Fourth Division" and "Syrian government forces," along with others of unknown nationalities, were reported injured yesterday, Wednesday, as part of the toll from the Israeli attack on the Qusayr area in Homs province near the Syrian-Lebanese border, according to the Syrian Observatory.
Sources confirmed that Israeli bombardment targeted checkpoints and weapons transport routes for the Lebanese "Hezbollah" in Qusayr, including checkpoints of the Fourth Division, as well as the "Adra" checkpoint in Nabek and the "Daf" and "Mouh" bridges near the Syrian-Lebanese border.
