To Strengthen Its Presence.. Washington Considers Sending New Military Forces to Syria
-
The synchronization between military and diplomatic moves reveals an integrated American strategy for dealing with the Syrian situation

The U.S. State Department revealed it is studying the possibility of strengthening the American military presence in Syria to support new international initiatives.
State Department Press Service Chief Matthew Miller explained that Washington is exploring the timing of sending military personnel to participate in various missions, including implementing principles announced by the Secretary of State and other countries on Saturday.
Miller confirmed that the current U.S. military presence in Syria is limited to forces participating in the international coalition.
Coinciding with military reinforcement plans, the American spokesman revealed his country's efforts to arrange its diplomatic representative's visit to Syria, in a move reflecting a development in the American position.
According to observers, these American statements represent a setback for Turkish efforts to expand their military operations in northern Syria.
Political analysts confirm that Washington's announcement of its intention to send new forces establishes a red line against any potential Turkish operation in Kobani and areas east of the Euphrates.
Military experts believe the American move aims to stabilize current contact lines and prevent any attempts to change the military map in the region, especially after escalating Turkish threats to invade Kobani in recent weeks.
Strategic assessments indicate that Washington, through this announcement, confirms its commitment to protecting its Syrian Democratic Forces allies and blocks Turkish attempts to change field balances in northern and eastern Syria.
Researchers point out that Turkey will now have to recalculate its position in the region, especially with the clarity of the American stance rejecting any new military operation targeting Kurdish areas.
