Wafiq Radi Said Meets with New Syrian Leadership to Discuss Economic Investment

Today, the head of the new Syrian administration, Ahmad al-Sharai, accompanied the Syrian businessman Wafiq Radi Said at the People's Palace in Damascus. The meeting came after Radi Said's arrival in Damascus on his private jet, accompanied by Syrian businessman Fawaz Israb, during a visit characterized by diversity and political significance amidst the transitional phase that the country has witnessed.
Wafiq Radi Said, known for his influence in economic and political mediation, is one of the most prominent businessmen who have achieved significant successes. It is noted that Said was close to the Syrian economic elite in previous decades, known for massive economic and investment initiatives both within Syria and abroad. He is also recognized as an influential figure in the Syrian communities abroad and has played a role in supporting development and education projects, with the “Wafiq Said Foundation” having contributed to funding educational initiatives in Europe.
The meeting comes at a sensitive time with the presence of the new Syrian administration led by Ahmad al-Sharai, aiming to attract investments while expressing a desire to work within the domestic sphere, as part of efforts for optimal economic reconstruction. Sources indicated that the meeting discussed details regarding support for the national economy and contributions to reconstruction projects and social infrastructure, as well as the role of business in this pivotal phase.
The prominent return of figures like Wafiq Radi Said to Damascus is aimed at rebuilding bridges and investing in Syrian talents and competencies to participate in development worldwide.
