لبنان

Israel continues its targeting of Lebanese areas, reaching the heart of the capital, Beirut.

Lebanese Health Minister Firas Al-Abyad stated today, Thursday, that a total of 1,974 people have been killed, including 127 children, since the onset of Israeli bombardment on Lebanon over the past year.

For its part, the Lebanese army announced today that one of its soldiers was killed due to Israeli attacks on a military site in southern Lebanon, adding that its troops returned fire to the source of the gunfire.

Additionally, Israeli warplanes renewed their airstrikes today on the southern suburbs, having targeted the area with 17 airstrikes last night, and proceeded with three additional strikes today. The Israeli army did not issue any prior evacuation warnings as it had done previously.

According to reports, the strikes targeted Hezbollah's media office and also struck a house in the town of Ma'ysara in the Keserwan district.

In the south, the airstrikes continued, with Israeli warplanes conducting a strike targeting the town of Kfartabniet in the Nabatieh district. In the same district, a warplane hit a house in the town of Arnoun, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and injuring others.
