Israeli Attack Strikes Lattakia International Airport and Hmeimim Military Base
جنوب لبنان

Israel target Lebanese regions, with attacks reaching the heart of the capital, Beirut. In the latest developments on the ground, the Lebanese army announced the death of one of its soldiers and injuries to another due to an assault by Israeli forces while carrying out a rescue and evacuation mission in cooperation with the Lebanese Red Cross in the town of Taybeh in the Marjayoun district.

Earlier, the spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, accused Hezbollah of smuggling weapons from Syria through the Masnaa border crossing. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Israeli drones have not left the Lebanese-Syrian border, reflecting the ongoing tension in the region.

On another front, the Lebanese Hezbollah announced that it detonated two explosive devices against Israeli forces attempting to "infiltrate" the town of Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon, amid renewed clashes in this border area following the Israeli army's announcement of the death of eight of its soldiers due to crossings over the border.

In a separate statement, Hezbollah claimed to have thwarted an attempt by Israeli forces to advance at the Fatima Gate border area using artillery shells.

Additionally, Israel has urged residents of 25 villages in southern Lebanon to evacuate, while the Israeli army reported the death of about 15 Hezbollah members in the municipal building of Bint Jbeil, where they were stationed. The army confirmed that it attacked approximately 200 targets linked to Hezbollah in the past few hours.

In related news, the Al Arabiya and Al Hadath news channels reported missiles being fired towards Safed, the Meron airbase, and Tiberias in northern Israel. Earlier, the Lebanese National News Agency indicated that Israeli artillery had targeted the towns of Yarine, Aluma al-Shaab, and Dhahira, in addition to the entrance of the town of Bazouriyeh. Around 30 rockets launched by Hezbollah towards Nahariya and the Upper Galilee were also reported. The Israeli army stated that it detected the launch of 25 rockets from Lebanon and successfully intercepted most of them.
