After reports circulated about the "abduction of the Israeli ambassador in Cyprus," Oren Anolik, the Israeli Foreign Ministry commented on these news, denying their accuracy and warning against dealing with "false information."

The circulating reports on social media stated that "the ambassador along with two of his aides was kidnapped near the coast, and communication with them was cut off for a period of time." The reports indicated that "they were taken to an unknown location," while the Cypriot police reported that they had begun investigations and searches for them.

In a related development, Ambassador Oren Anolik posted a video on the "X" application to reassure his followers that he had not been kidnapped, stating: "I have heard some false news circulating about me. I would like to assure you that I am fine."

Anolik added humorously: "It seems that someone has come up with an unusual way to make everyone reach out to me and send me text messages wishing me a happy new Jewish year!"

This false news comes at a time when the Middle East is experiencing serious escalation, as Israel announced the execution of a "limited" ground incursion in southern Lebanon, while Iran launched a direct missile attack on Israel, which confirmed that it would respond to this attack.
