A delegation from the Equality and Democracy of Peoples Party reviewed the results of its talks with the Turkish Parliament Speaker, describing the meeting as "very good" and looking forward to achieving constructive results.

The delegation, comprising Pervin Buldan, Sera Theria Onder, and Ahmet Turk, participated in the negotiations held on Thursday (January 2, 2025), meeting with Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş to discuss the Kurdish issue.

Sera Theria Onder revealed that the meeting lasted 50 minutes, referring to the delegation's visit to Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali Prison and reviewing the Parliament Speaker's proposals.

The Democratic Regions Party representative stated: "We conducted a comprehensive assessment of the issues. We will continue later with Mr. Bahçeli. We might meet on Monday with the Republican People's Party (CHP) and the Justice and Development Party (AKP), and generally with all parliamentary representatives."

The delegation announced its intention to hold a press conference to review the negotiations' results, confirming the postponement of answering press questions for now. Onder expressed optimism about the meeting's results, while revealing that the possibility of meeting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan remains "under discussion", confirming the delegation's intention to visit Imrali again.

According to previous delegation statements, Ocalan presented "positive proposals to confront dark scenarios" during a meeting on December 28, 2024, emphasizing that "reinforcing Turkish-Kurdish brotherhood is not just a historical responsibility, but has become a necessity of importance and priority for all peoples."

The Kurdistan Workers' Party leader expressed his readiness to contribute to the new approach supported by Bahçeli and Erdogan, confirming his readiness to take positive steps based on the delegation's negotiations with Turkish officials.
