Local news networks reported today, Wednesday, that the "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF) have begun an unprecedented recruitment campaign in areas under their control in Hasakah province.

The local network "Al-Khabour" stated that the SDF also launched an arrest campaign in the towns of Rmeilan, Al-Qahtaniyah, Al-Yarubiyah, and Al-Muabbada in rural Hasakah, where more than 60 young men were detained.

On Tuesday, the SDF, supported by the U.S.-led international coalition, began an offensive on seven villages located east of the Euphrates River in Deir Ezzor, which are controlled by Syrian regime forces and the Iranian-backed militias.

The "Deir Ezzor Military Council," affiliated with the SDF, announced in a statement that the attack was prompted by "dangerous security conditions resulting from recent events in western Syria extending to the desert," in addition to "serious risks of an imminent move by ISIS cells to control unprotected areas, especially in northern and eastern Deir Ezzor."

It is noteworthy that Syrian opposition factions began battles against Syrian regime forces and Iranian militias in the northern part of the country a few days ago, achieving significant advances, having announced the control of the entirety of Idlib province, all of Aleppo city, and most of its countryside.
