Swiss NGO "INPACT" revealed Houthi elements fighting alongside Russian forces in Ukraine through a weapons trafficking company.

Lou Osborne from the Swiss organization stated contracts between Houthi mercenaries and Russian army are arranged through an Oman-based entity linked to pro-Houthi Yemeni MP Abdul Wali Al-Jabri.

Osborne confirmed to AFP Al-Jabri's involvement in "weapons trade between Russia and Houthis," verifying recent Financial Times reports.

Houthis declined AFP inquiries, while an anonymous Ukrainian diplomat denied evidence of these claims. Osborne noted some fighters were recruited from Amman restaurants despite lacking military experience.

They were promised $10,000 initially and $2,500 monthly, but received only $260 upon arrival. Financial Times reported they were lured with lucrative jobs and Russian citizenship before being forced to fight.

Russian officials hosted a Houthi delegation last January to discuss "intensifying pressure" on Washington and Tel Aviv to stop Gaza war, according to Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam. The US accused Moscow in September of talks with Houthis controlling large Yemen areas.
