US President-elect Donald Trump, Saturday, ruled out US intervention possibility in Syrian conflict, coinciding with opposition factions announcing "encirclement" operation of Damascus capital.

Trump stated via his Truth Social platform "Syria is in chaos, but it's not our friend, and the United States should have nothing to do with it."

Before meeting French President Emmanuel Macron at Paris' Élysée Palace, he added: "This isn't our fight, let the situation take its course. Let's not intervene."

Military operations continue since armed groups' last week's surprise attack from Idlib toward Aleppo, gaining complete control, then moving toward Hama and northern Homs sector, threatening city center invasion.

Simultaneously, local armed groups controlled southern Daraa governorate, securing Nasib border crossing, prompting Jordan's border closure.

Local formations seized Sweida city after storming police headquarters and Syrian regime army military facilities, which announced withdrawal from city for redeployment and repositioning.
